Hi, I'm Jacquie, the founder of Skin For You and your personal Skin Architect. While skincare is my professional passion, there's so much more to me beyond the treatment room.
When I'm not creating customized plans for healthy, glowing skin, I'm soaking in life's simply joys, like spending time with my two amazing sons or volunteering at my youngest son's school. I'm a foodie at heart and love discovering new places to eat (especially if dessert is involved). Anything chocolate with nuts? I'm in! I enjoy exploring wineries and breweries, going to live music events, and indulging in creative outlets like painting classes and floral arranging. Shopping, fresh flowers, and traveling to new places all bring me happiness! I'm also a strong believer in practicing what I preach. I make time for facials, massages, and intentional self-care days, because taking care of yourself is never a luxury, its a necessity, Continuing education is a big part of who I am. I love attending skincare expos and advanced trainings so I can stay on top of new innovations and bring the very best to my clients. And If you spot a few ladybug touches around the spa, those are my thing. They're my quiet little symbol of joy, beauty, and good energy. Its truly an honor to do what I love, and to walk alongside each of my clients on their skin journey. Thank you for letting me be part of your skin journey, its truly an honor. Maria Zarate
Massage Therapist
Hello my name is Maria Zarate, I am the founder of Sacred Space Massage Therapy. I am excited to be joining the wonderful team at Skin For You where you will get to enjoy from a variety of holistic massage therapy modalities in a spa setting.
Aside from having started my own mobile massage business this past year 2024, which I am very proud of, I am also a very proud mom to a teenage boy. He is my drive and for whom I strive to be my best in what I do.
I am currently working as a Surgical Technician at a Trauma Hospital in the Monterey county. I have acquired an extensive experience in the medical field in the last 20 years. I began working as a CNA (certified nurse assistant) where I served geriatric patients in the skilled nursing and the assisted living facility. I later transitioned into the acute hospital setting where I worked in different departments. All of which further led me into aspiring to work in the OR (operating room) as a surgical tech. And as of most recent, a volunteer in a local non-profit organization in our Watsonville Community serving the farm workers and the elderly.
I feel a strong inner drive to care for others, and during these past years I have been able to exercise that passion of mine. I have witnessed others’ trauma and healing in every stage of life. And although it may sound like two different worlds, compared to that of the hospital setting, I see massage therapy as an extension of the healing process.
I am looking forward to serving my community here in my hometown of Watsonville & extending my services to surrounding areas as I continue my traveling (in-home) massage services with the understanding that some of my clients benefit from this unique service.
I thank you all in advance for allowing me to serve you and assist you in your healing journey or provide you with the best ‘self-care’ experience through my holistic massage therapy services.
